The College of Arts and Sciences is the stronghold of Filipino], Catholic, and Jesuit Education in the Ateneo de Naga University, through the core curriculum and the areas of specialization it offers.

It provides contextualized and dynamic instruction by offering responsive, relevant, and holistic academic programs that are mediated and delivered by a corps of excellent faculty and staff who are self-regulated, committed, competent, critical, creative, and innovative, and who appropriate to themselves Ignatian charism and spirituality.

Its students are highly qualified for the courses they enroll and they graduate imbued with the ability to think critically, and act according to Christian Values and Orientation. They communicate their thoughts clearly and effectively, either orally or in writing, and exhibit a deep appreciation and love for their own cultural heritage, even as they open themselves to inputs from other nationalities and culture.

It nourishes a vibrant culture of research manifested by interdisciplinary research activities and intellectual discussions and their outputs are ultimately shared to a wider audience through paper presentations, scholarly publications, web page publication and other media of information dissemination. It also comes up with research-based and Ignatian Spirituality-inspired instructional materials, workbooks, and textbooks that cater to the developmental changes and needs of the students. Likewise, it comes up with creative outputs that showcase abundance of God's gift to His people, for and in the service of His creation.
