RETENTION POLICY
Rationale and Objective
This policy aims to establish a suitable and effective provision governing the first, second and third year students of the College of Engineering. The policy provides the necessary intervention that would highly encourage students to meet the requirements of their respective fields. Through the provisions of this policy, the college aims to filter out students that are not meeting the minimum requirements of their courses. This measure would furthermore improve the probability of our graduates passing the board exams.
This retention policy uses as basis the Information System used by the Registrar's Office to determine the student's year level classification. Should there be instances of incomplete grade/s, the academic status of students will be re-evaluated and adjusted accordingly upon completion of the said grade/s.
This policy will apply, upon approval of the University President, to first year students of SY 2008-2009.
