 11 October 2009—AdNU High School Batch ’90 in cooperation with the Ateneo de Naga University Alumni Association formally opened the 4th Conference of the Ateneo Alumni Basketball Champions League (2009) with the theme Tiriladan.
 At 9:00 am, a special mass was offered at the Christ the King Church with Fr. Paco Mallari, S.J. as the main celebrant. At 10:00 am, the program started with a welcome address from Dr. Rogelio Raymund Regondolo, Batch President of HS Class ’90. It was followed by an Oath of Sportsmanship lead by Mr. Adrian Canonizado, Tournament Director (also from HS Class ’90).
 This year’s guest speaker was Mayor Jesse Robredo (HS Batch ’74) who remarked that the basketball conference is one of the contributions of the Alumni to the school. It was then followed by an inspirational talk from Atty. Francis Romulo Badilla (HS Batch ’84), Jr., ADNUAA President, and from Atty. John Bongat (HS Batch ’81). The morning program was hosted by Mr. Rix Lozano (HS Batch ’83) and Mr. Sonny Rivera (HS Batch ’90).
This year’s conference, also has a notable increase in the number of participants with batches ’96-’99 as the new entrants.
