Goals

• Increase number of masters degree and doctorate holders engaged in research;
• Provide University personnel, primarily faculty and designated student-researchers, with research capability;
• Provide faculty with research capability as support for advanced studies and specialization in respective fields;
• Provide attractive monetary incentives and support (e.g. honoraria, deloading, space, equipment, facilities, sabbatical, etc.) for research work;
• Create full research chairs for doctorate holders;
• Increase number of faculty engaged in intra and inter-disciplinary collaboration and external research linkages;
• Establish research institutes for each discipline cluster with respective publications;
• Establish endowment fund for current and new research centers and institutes;
• Evolve research centers into research institutes;
• Create a permanent pool of research assistants; and
• Increase publications of peer-reviewed researches and presentation in various media
